My Continuing Hair Saga

Well, me and my hair! My daughter keeps telling me that I should have it cut etc. by professionals. But, no, I keep right on doing it myself. Well, I actually like the haircut...but I don't know what's going to happen with the color. Clever person that I am, when mixing the color, I mxed the conditioner with the stuff in the bottle instead of the color. Well, after 30 minutes, NOTHING had changed and then I realized my mistake. So I put the color stuff in what was left of the conditioner and other stuff mixture and put THAT on my hair. The color is changing, but I don't know what it is going to look like. I HAVE to go to school tomorrow because we have our annual choral festival. So...instead of just having my kids see it, I'll be on stage in front of about 800 people, looking who-knows-how. At least my back will be toward the audience. [Funny thing - we are singing the title song from the musical 'HAIR'.] SO, as long as it doesn't turn some strange color or fall out, I guess I'll be okay. I'll let you know.

Hmmm...I remember hearing a story about you from when you were a teenager and had to play in a recital with green hair - I guess people don't really change all that much throughout the years...
I love you! I guess I'll get to see the new "do" any day when you come up to see the baby - I hope your hair isn't green this time - it might scare her!

Heh. Singing "Hair!" with green hair - what a visual!

And, Jane, this is totally something I'd do. I hope it came out okay!

I once tried to brush my teeth with my then-husband's hair grease. Not something I'd recommend. Bleh. (In my defense, it was in a tube just like a toothpaste tube, right next to the toothpaste, we were on a trip, I was exhausted... Why hair grease? What was up with that anyway? But I digress...)
