Good morning!

I got up early because the roofers were supposed to be here at 8:00 am and it is now 10:24 and - no roofers. I have gotten a lot done, however.

I am leaving Wednesday to FLY to Minneapolis to visit my wonderful son. I haven't seen him since Christmas, and I have NEVER flown, so...double excitement. I called the airlines and asked about knitting or cross-stitching on the airplane. They were sort of vague about x-stitching, but I think I can. Anyway, I have been working hard on my 1826 Sampler trying to get as much of it done in half-cross so that I can just cross the stitches without needing a pattern. I should probably explain that the entire sampler is done in dark navy, except for a few touches of dk. red.

I am taking my digital camera, ipod, and new cellphone with me so that my son can show me how to use some of the special features. When I return, I should be able to post pictures of my sampler, as well as some other WIPs.
I also hope to acquire some new stash! I have been researching needlework shops in Minn. and there is actually one about 4 blocks from son's home. How cool is that! I figure that I can explore and shop while he is at work.

I will be returning on the 26th - hopefully with a lot done on the sampler and pictures and stories to share.

Keep smiling!

I am posting once more.
I've been working hard on an 1826 sampler that is probably going to take me the rest of my life.
I haven't worked on my Village at all.
I am registering with Blogflux and have to have at least 7 posts, so.....
